Lidl is continually reviewing possible expansion targets. Expansion is essential for us to secure and steadily extend our market position.

Lidl is set to enter the following new countries: North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. Working in one of these countries means preparing the local organization to allow Lidl to open in that country, taking on responsibility, driving forward issues and helping to build up structures and processes to achieve the company's goals.

North Macedonia

How can I apply for open positions in expansion countries?

Internal job postings in our expansion countries can be found on this website. You can apply via email. The contact details are listed in the respective job postings.
If none of the advertised positions match your qualifications or professional expectations, you can register for our candidate pool by submitting a spontaneous application. We are constantly reviewing job opportunities and will consider your application at a later time.
Please either submit your application for an advertised position or register for the candidate pool!
What requirements should I have for working in an expansion country?

Position-specific requirements can be found in the respective job advertisements on this website.
You can register for the candidate pool regardless of your department and hierarchy level. As a guideline, however, you should have been working at Lidl for at least one year and have received performance level three in your last Talent Management process.
You need to be motivated and enthusiastic to prepare Lidl to open in a new country and to build up processes and structures.
You should also have a good to very good command of written and spoken English.
Furthermore, if you speak the language of the country or have the respective citizenship, feel free to provide this information in your application or during the registration process.
Which application documents do I have to submit?

Please ask your Talent Management Specialist to extract your employee profile from SuccessFactors in English UK as PPTC or upload your CV in English.
You are also welcome to send us additional application documents, such as a short cover letter, references, certificates or an extract from your last development dialog as proof of your performance and development level. If required, we will request this evidence from the Talent Management process during your application.
Will my manager be informed of my application?
How does the application process work?

After you have submitted your application for an internal job advertisement via email, you will receive an email confirming receipt. Afterwards, the recruiting team in the expansion country or the buddy/tandem country will review your application documents and the job opportunities.
If you have registered for the candidate pool, your application will be coordinated by Lidl Stiftung in consultation with the recruiting team in the expansion country or buddy/tandem country. We will inform you as soon as suitable positions become available.
In both cases, the selection process is conducted by the expansion country or buddy/tandem country.
If you receive a rejection for a job posting, you can reapply at a later time. If you register for the candidate pool, please only register once. We will review your application across positions and countries, provided you give us your consent to do so.
What is special about working in an expansion country?

As part of Lidl´s expansion strategy, you will take on a lot of responsibility, allowing you to develop both professionally and personally. You can help build and shape the local organization and leave your own mark.
You will experience just how international Lidl is and have the chance to expand your international network. You can also improve your language skills.
